If you have an e-mail account with e-geek it can be accessed either via web mail (in an Internet browser) or with a stand alone email client such as Thunderbird or Outlook.
To access an account via web mail, open your sites address with /mail at the end, eg www.example.com/mail . Then enter in your username and password (this will be given to you when your site is set-up).
To access your email with a stand alone email client, add an email account (see your email clients help about how to do this) with the following settings:
|
E-mail address: |
This will be given to you when your site is set-up |
|
Server type: |
Either POP or IMAP |
|
(Incoming) server: |
ecoanarchist.org |
|
Username: |
This will be given to you when your site is set-up |
|
Port: |
995 if using POP, 993 if using IMAP |
|
Encryption: |
SSL |
The outgoing server (for sending emails) is handled by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). If you can't send emails through your ISP (for example if you're in an internet cafe) then you can send emails via the web mail interface.
